Enter… Yabu House of Katsu

I had heard nothing but good things about Yabu: House of Katsu from some very credible sources, but I'm not really a huge fan of Japanese Food. As we were walking around the SM I took a glance at the menu of Yabu, and saw an item that caught my attention.. "Rosu Katsudon".

Yabu: The House of Katsu Hype?

Initially, there was the Ramen craze. And then came the Katsu craze, which was revived first by Crazy Katsu in Maginhawa Street, followed by different Tonkatsu stalls popping up like mushrooms in the weekend markets.

But it was only with YABU: The House of Katsu that Manila was introduced to the high-end Katsu, and foodies started debating on what's the best Katsu experience.

The Yabu Experience

My mum, sister Pam and I were so stoked when the food came! I tried the Curry Katsudon, which by the way was a good choice, thanks for the heads up, Mike! While my mum had the mixed seafood Katsudon and Pam had the best seller, the Chicken Katsudon.

Tonkatsu Story

Tonkatsu or Japanese pork cutlet is something I like to eat but don’t get to eat often except when abroad, because what we have here in Manila is usually close to a breaded porkchop.
